AV97 is the subject of this week's update. No particular reason, just remembered these photos. AV97 came as part of the 185 Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL AVs delivered in 2000. It was one of the 85 to be bodied at the Belfast plant that year, the rest built in Scotland. It entered service in November 2000 in Conyngham Road. It moved along with the 66/67 routes from Conyngham Road to Phibsborough in November 2004 as part of the Harristown opening rearrangements. It returned to Conyngham Road in August 2007, before being transferred to Clontarf in May 2009 as part of the fleet reduction rearrangements of that year. It moved from Clontarf to Donnybrook to see out its final days in May 2013. It was withdrawn in November 2013 and sold on to Ensign Bus. Nowadays, it operates in Truro, Cornwall, on Schools Services with Hopleys Coaches.
