Photo of the Week - Week 23:

Phibsborough's AV372 is seen in its new tri-sided advert for Coca-Cola operating Route 66 on Merrion Square North on the 20th June 2015.

You know its summer when the Coke buses appear. Like last year, the buses are tri-sided adverts, Dublin Bus sticking to the somewhat garish inclusion of its livery on the front of the buses. This years livery is more attractive than last years, returning to the distinctive shade of red that is synonomous with Coca-Cola. White livery next to the yellow and blue does not work, whereas red looks a bit better. There are 4 buses completed in this livery, AV372 and AX587 operating out of Phibsborough, AV415 operating from Ringsend, and AV391 operating from Donnybrook. AV391 has been difficult to track down, as has been the case with a lot of Donnybrook's wraps recently. Hopefully there'll be further oportunities, unlike AV389 which was only in its wrap for such a short period of time.

AV372 is seen resting on Merrion Square South awaiting its next departure on Route 66 on the 20th June 2015.

Phibsborough's other tri-sided Coke bus, AX587, is seen operating Route 39A on the 25th June 2015.

Ringsend's AV415 is seen operating Route 77A on College Green on the 20th June 2015.

I hope to rectify the lack of updates on this site in recent weeks. Check back for a midweek new route feature. I won't say which one...
