Harristown's AV348 is seen operating Route 41X on Hawkins Street on the 26th March 2018 (click on photo for larger version).

A number of former Donnybrook AV's entered service in Harristown towards the end of 2017 in order to see of some older AVs and also the DT class buses. This was enabled due to the delivery of Donnybrook's 2017 allocation of SGs, with Donnybrook losing all of their AV class vehicles. Come 2018, Harristown has already received 15 SG buses, allowing them to take a number out of service. But there are still a few in regular service.


Harristown's AV349 is seen operating Route 39 on Kildare Street on the 26th March 2018 (click on photo for larger version).

The following shows the individual operational history of these buses in Harristown:

  • AV344: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 21st November 2017. Went into service on the 12th December 2017 in Harristown. Is currently in service in Harristown.
  • AV345: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 22nd November 2017. Went into service on the 14th December 2017 in Harristown. Is currently in service in Harristown.
  • AV347: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 22nd November 2017. Went into service on the 14th December 2017 in Harristown. It is currently back in storage at Harristown, last operating on the 15th February 2018.
  • AV348: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 22nd November 2017. Went into service on the 13th December 2017 in Harristown. Is currently in service in Harristown, though was off service for all of February and most of March 2018.
  • AV349: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 23rd November 2017. Went into service on the 13th December 2017 in Harristown. Is currently in service in Harristown.
  • AV350: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 23rd November 2017. Went into service on the 15th December 2017 in Harristown. It last operated in Harristown on the 28th February 2018.
  • AV388: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 23rd November 2017. Went into service on the 29th January 2018 in Harristown. It lasted operated in Harristown on the 27th February 2018.
  • AV389: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 28th November 2017. Went into service on the 24th January 2018 in Harristown. It lasted operated in Harristown on the 19th February 2018.
  • AV390: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 30th November 2017. Went into service on the 29th January 2018 in Harristown. It lasted operated in Harristown on the 15th February 2018.
  • AV391: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 30th November 2017. Went into service on the 29th January 2018 in Harristown. Is currently in service in Harristown.
  • AV392: Last operated in Donnybrook on the 30th November 2017. Went into service on the 24th January 2018 in Harristown. Is currently in service in Harristown.

    • The Donnybrook AVs (withdrawn in favour of 2017 SGs) that have not entered service in Harristown, at least yet, are AV331, AV332, AV387, AV393, AV394 and AV398.


    Harristown's AV391 is seen operated the recently diverted Route 142 on Westland Row on the 26th March 2018 (click on photo for larger version).

    Harristown also received AVs from other garages that were used to withdraw older buses and also for expansion. Former Summerhill AV336, AV337, AV339, AV340, AV395 and AV396 operated in Harristown but were withdrawn in February with the delivery of new SGs. Former Ringsend AV383 and AV384 entered service in early January 2018 in Harristown and are still operating there. Harristown also put ex-Ringsend AV318-AV320 into service briefly from mid-December to mid-January, these buses then be withdrawn and sold.
