Photo of the Week - Week 22:

RV570 is seen departing The Square, Tallaght, on a Route 56A departure to Ringsend Road on the 11th February 2012. Note RV570 shows City Centre instead of Ringsend Road as the city terminus.

Its been a while since DublinBusStuff had an RV picture as an image of the week. With more GT class imminent, it is a good time to look back at the class that was removed by the first batch of GTs. RV570, shown in the photo above, was delivered to Dublin Bus in the autumn of 1999. It was delivered to Broadstone, however it was equipped with the narrow front destination display which was large enough for the display only, not having the larger glass panel and black surrounds shown in the photo above. Its entry into service was delayed pending the conversion to the standard larger front destination display. It was transferred from Broadstone to Harristown in November 2004 when Harristown opened. It transferred from Harristown to Ringsend in January 2012, operated there for 6 months before its ultimate withdrawal from service. It has since been acquired by Motts Travel of Aylesbury, UK.

RV570 is seen operating a Route 83 service to Kimage along its old routing along McKee Road on the 27th August 2011.
