2024 - Update 28:

2024 (click on photo for larger version).
The latest route introduced by Dublin Bus is Route 65A, which began operation on the 26th August 2024, 30 years after the original 65A to The Embankment ceased operation. This route is a short 65 which operates in the late morning/early afternoon Monday-Friday from Blessington to Belgard Square West (just outside The Square), having 2 departures from Blessington and 1 from Tallaght. Its purpose is to releave pressure on Route 65, especially with the use of the old Crooksling Nursing Home site as an international protection facility, a significant population increase along what is traditionally a rural service. Crooksling has therefore been chosen as the via point. Coupled with extra 65 departures, there has been a 20% increase in departures between Blessington and Tallaght.
Ringsend's SG544 is seen pulling into its Belgard Square West
terminus for its return 65A departure to Blessington on the 19th
